Getting rid of VHS movies

I can't remember the last time I actually bought anything on VHS, but I still have over 300 movies that are basically useless. I don't have enough other useless stuff to warrant a garage sale. Is there anyone who buys used VHS tapes? I'd hate to just throw them all out. It would be nice to get a couple of bucks for them.

I took all mine to goodwill, but I saw an add on tv the other day for a place on research that bought used media, including VHS. I can't remember the name, it was re(something) I think. Sorry I can't remember more right now, it might come to me, but there is a place out there.

Try selling them on craiglist. I'm sure someone would love to expand his collection by 300 vids. You make someone else happy and also pocket a little change. It's better than just tossing them in the trash.

Half Price Books used to buy them, not sure if they still do. You'll feel like you got ripped off if you take them there though, most likely.

Half Price Books is a definite or you could try to EBAY the collection. Somebody out there probably wants those movies.

I'm in the same situation. About to move, and I don't want to take the 50-75 VHS tapes with me. The donation idea sounds good.
