Getting Out Of A Lease

Okay, so I signed a lease with my g/f for an apartment, it was a year long lease, and I don't know if I'm gonna be able to put up with her for that long lol. Anyways, I was wondering what would happen if I left. Obviously I'd be responsible for it cuz my name is on it, but would there be any way to get my name taken off of the lease?! Anybody have any experience with this? Advice? Thanks.

Well, you could just leave, but good luck ever getting an apartment again. You can try to get another apartment in that complex.

Only if your landlord lets the lease be re-executed without your name on it. They have no real incentive to do that since having two people to go after is better than one.
