Is there nothing this Jackass wont do for attention? By god he is earning an Academy Award with his overdramatic fumblings all the whole holding casual chit chat talks about Chuck Norris and lost blackberry stories while a lackey guy holds an annamometer over his head like an umbrella. Hese got nuts, but he sure like them to be fondled.

The Geraldo show last night was some of the greatest TV entertainment of all time.

That blackberry/chuck norris sequence was surreal.

It was hilarious watching him act as if he was really being buffeted around while, meanwhile, his microphone was stationary ... not being blown around at all.

But Geraldo really did make it look like he was struggling.

That was some theater, folks!

This was entertainment most of the night for the party. I have never seen anything as funny on live TV before. Him holding on to palm leaves and squatting on it was great. I will only watch Fox News for hurricane coverage from now on.

Nothing beats the time when his daytime show went Jerry Springer with the nazis and he took a chair to the face.

A lot of what he has done has been ridiculous, but he really earned his pay Saturday in Galveston. He brought home the power of the storm with his on the spot coverage. I enjoyed it, and stayed up until the eye started to go through about 2 a.m.
It was irritating that the coverage kept blinking off, but they explained that the satellite could not be kept straight, which is understandable under the circumstances.
Geraldo really put himself in danger out there-he could easily have been struck by some flying debris with those winds, and it was dark, precluding any advanced warning from his crew.
I thought it was great, I tip my hat to him for the coverage. I know he is a showboater, but that was great stuff.

hmmmm, it's a hurricane. it's windy with sideways driving rain. we all know that.

most non-attention ***** reporters (is there such a thing?), know to broadcast behind structures. being a dumbass and broadcasting in open ground a driving windstorm wins no gratification in my book. on the contrary, it reeks of being contrived and fake.

Hiding in a hotel in Clear Lake and telling the viewers that some siding blew off and the insulation is showing does not convey the power of a hurricane like someone standing outside in the actual wind and rain. I'm not saying it is a particularly smart thing to do, but it is brave, and really illustrates the story. I liked it. I laughed at him many times, too, I admit.

If Gerald had stuck to real reporting -- many of you may not remember the expose' on the mistreatment of the mentally ill in this country that he did while part of the NY ABC affiliate -- he could have been one of the best.

But somehow he meandered off into sensationalism and became, at best, a caricature of a reporter. Al Capone's vault comes to mind.
