Georgia's Offense

Was OU's defense (and by extension defenses in the Big 12) that bad to allow so many long, running touchdowns by Georgia? Sure, Georgia has a good running game, but I bet their performance against Alabama will seem paltry when compared to the Rose Bowl.

What kind of offense do you think Herman would rather have, the Georgia type or the OU type?

Answer to the 1st question is yes.

OU's defense is not real good and Georgia's offense is good enough to take advantage of it. Or better yet abuse it.

OU's defense was their weak point all season. Iowa St came back on 'em and beat 'em and we almost did. Once Georgia began stopping their offense, the writing was on the wall.

Mack Brown decided he wanted a power running game, after winning a Natty with a spread offense. We kind of lost our identity on offense and really haven't gotten it back as a result.

Georgia has recruited the big uglies to make it work and they pass often enough and well enough so that people can't just put 8 in the box and stop it too. They may lose to Bama, but going forward, I think they'll be the new power in the sec, sec, sec.
