Holy cow! Wadda show!

I rented the first two DVDs over the weekend and am hooked. Big time. Ray, the chatterbox, is great. Never has the word "retarded" been better put to use.

"Wouldn't it be better to cross the bridge at night?"
"Sure, but it's not retarded enough."

Or something like that. I'm still laughing at the grunt's disdain for their officers.

Anyways, I was probably steered to this by some comments around here. Thanks!

I finished the the third disk of the series last night. I didn't "get" the football sequence until I went to bed. Great movie.
 
I read the book and couldnt stand the show. It was really irritating.

Why on earth would they have Alexander Skarsgard as Sgt. Brad Colbert? The Swedish guy who plays Meekus on Zoolander? It's like in Black Hawk Down when they had the Scottish guy from Trainspotting playing an Army Ranger. WHY?? Were there no American actors?

The way they portrayed Evan Wright as the reporter was terrible too. With almost no lines, he's unecessary to the story compared to the amount of screen time he gets just making faces.

I thought the book was good. So were the books House to House and Lone Survivor.
 
i thought it was better than BoB - i have teh book and one bullet away sitting next to me as I type this - need to read them

How could a show done by 'the wire' guy be bad? And when you see the interview of the Iceman IRL the actor was a dead ringer and got him perfectly.

If only they could have worked Omar into the group as well as Ziggy.
