I have had the 320 for 2 years - excellent grill and customer service is impeccable. Make sure you upgrade to the stainless steel burners, flavor bars, and grates. I will be upgrading soon to the summit 620 or 650/
Wow, I guess some people really like their BBQ. I could probably buy all the BBQ I'll ever eat for the rest of my life, for a grand. To each his own, I guess.
GHoward...a gas grill is the equivalent of an outdoor kitchen. I use mine all of the time for cooking every day, run of the mill foods...not just for meats.
Or, you could buy a $200 grill and replace it every 5 years instead of spending that kind of money to get 7 or 8 years. It's just an open flame with a lid.
Another few are:
1) I don't want to hassle with replacing a grill I have to procure, transport, assemble and dispose of often (less than 5 years - see next perspective)
2) I have never gotten 5 years of quality cooking from a $200 grill
3) I've yet to see a $200 "open flame with a lid" not burn the hell out of my steak and distribute heat evenly throughout the cooking surface and generate anywhere near the amount of heat required to properly sear a steak
and last, but not least...
4) Some people, myself included, have no qualms about spending money on a quality grill - recognizing that everyone has their vices/money-pissing tendencies - and find it amusing when someone, such as yourself, makes such malformed, myopic (and off-topic, mind you) statements about the spending habits of other people.
