Gas Grill- Why did I wait so long?

So I am 35 and have been grilling, smoking, and BBQing since I was my son's age (5). All of that time, I have owned wood/charcoal smokers and grills. While on vacation last week, we were driving down Long Point trying to avoid rush hour on the highways. We had just spent too much money at IKEA so I was grumbling about it when my wife said,"That's a nice grill." Since I did not have to be back at work the next day, I turned around and went back to look at it. It was a Char-Broil Red Grill. When I went inside to ask about it, the folks who owned it said they would let it go for $320. I said I would be back the next day. After researching it, this is what I found out:

Char Broil

Needless to say, I went back the next day and bought it. All it needed was a few batteries for the control panel and igniters and a tank of propane. Since getting it home, we have used it 5 out of the last 7 nights and cannot be happier with the performance.

I will always use my old reliable pit for briskets, ribs, and smoking fresh sausage, but it sure will be nice to be able to grill out more often.

Looks like a nice grill and it sounds like you got a great deal.

I don't understand the part about being able to use it more often though. My Horizon offest and regular grills have propane starters. They are ready to cook on as fast as any gas grill I have seen.

It is about a 35 dollar option to add it one of their grills. I think it would work on any brand though.

Meaning I do not have to wait on charcoal and I can grill on weeknights since time is not as much of a factor. With 2 kids under 6 we try to get them fed by 630 each night.
