I like him as a coach but his quote in the Statesman about beating "T.U." makes me think less of him. I guess he's just another Aggie -- no different than the other coaches who have come before him (aka Dennis Franchione). You expect the "T.U." comments from 18-year-old kids and the Aggie faithful -- they don't know any better. But not the coaches.

I have three degrees from UT and I love the Longhorns. That being said, I feel like we are big enough and good enough in ALL sports to overlook the pettiness of the TU thing. What's A & M got to be proud of, in the area of sports, except for those few times they can beat Texas. Friends of mine who graduated from A & M are offented when I write it the way I just did. They use the aTm abbreviation. Let's let it go, or let the team use it for motivation. It's really none of the business of fans to start making rude and juvenile remarks about another team's coach or student body. Looks suspiciously like sour grapes to me when they've beaten our WBB team soundly twice in one season.

The Aggie fan base saying TU is amusing to me - the coach saying it seems wrong. I can't imagine Coach G saying something derogatory about any of our opponents and I wouldn't expect it of any coach, anywhere. Just my opinion. Don't care a flip that he said it, but think it was very classless of him and sends the wrong message.

Blair thinks he just played Tulane University.

Pity the 50 IQ bastard. He's clearly not real bright.

I'm with Bill.

Yes, we must ignore the stupidity that is aggy fandom but our admin needs to address this with them, I mean "our friends from the anus of Texas"
