Garrett Gilbert Now ESPN's No. 1 QB

thanks for posting.

Obviously the #1 QB....and a passer too, not just some kind that has wheels and can develop the passing game.

Where is aggy on that list? Are they playing the recruiting game this year, or is Sherman waiting for the draft?

Im not ready to write off Barkley. Did he just start to suck since last year? Did he forget how to throw or make reads? Not likely? Is the ranking based on potential and skill, yes, I think.

If his weapons have decreased from one year to another, that will affect his numbers. I doubt he has become a worse QB in the last year. I think his ranking is based on how well scouts think he will do at the college level with college recievers, especially at a school like USC.

Hey guys. On our Texas commit database page, we list all of the different rankings (ESPN, Rivals, Scout) for each commit, so you can compare:

Hope that's helpful.

Man these ratings are just like the BCS and Hesiman and Big 12. It's what have you done for me lately type of thing rather than the overall picture. Of course Gilbert is deserving but he is the exception.

As you can see, each site has vast differences in the rankings. JMO, but Rivals seems to be the most accurate, then Scout, and ESPN doesn't have a clue.
