Garage Sales

We're having one this weekend pending major downpours in Austin. My plan was just to post signs around the neighborhood and await that traffic, but my wife thought we should post a classified in the paper. Another friend suggested Craigslist. Any ideas on the best choice?

Depends on how much crap you have to make it worth it - there are a lot of folks that read the classifieds and hit as many garage sales as possible. You can place an ad for ~$25 in the Statesman. If you do that, expect the garage sale zealots to show up early.

Usual garage sale stuff-neighborhood signs bring in plenty of people. Large items-furniture, refrigerators, expensive things-might make newspaper ad worthwhile.
