Game Weekend Hotels

I'm sure this subject has been broached before, but I'm lookin' for some fresh ideas. I have some friends (~23 yrs old, all girls, sick-HOT) comin' in for the Tech beating on Nov. 15 and they are lookin' for the best place to stay near downtown & DKR.. bang-for-the-buck wise. Right now they are lookin' at The Omni and The Crowne Plaza. Any comments, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated---Good Karma

Omni is the most affordable of the luxury hotels. It's nowhere near as nice as the 4 Seasons, Drsikell of SFA, but for luxury combined with the pricve is head and shoulders above the Hiltons and Doubltrees.

The Sheraton across from Changs has some great rates as do the "extended stay places, one on West 6th and one at Riverside and Barton Springs.

I'd just go Priceline and get a 4 star hotel downtown for around 50-80
