will be in london for the regionals this weekend - anyone know of any watching parties (obviously texas-related group is a preference, but anything at this point will do so long as I can watch us play)?
Perhaps you should have chosen to take that quick JFK/EWR - HOU flight instead of making a London trip. Then you could be at the game in person (like me) without worrying about where a bunch of soccer loving brits would watch the tourney.
I'm sure you know they're live streaming the games as well.
Actually I believe the Texas Exes in London have scheduled a game-watching party tonight at the Sports Cafe, so you'll be in good company. If you have a Facebook profile you can do a search on Texas Exes London, they have a group profile set up there with details on Burnt Orange London events. I'll probably be making my way there tonight as well.
Oh you mean the London out there across the big pond, and not the one in Ontario?
Anyway, I am near Ontario (not the one in Canada, but in California), and I have so far watched the Texas games uninterrupted on a laptop hooked up to a DSL and wireless internet at home - as my daughter bugs me for TV to watch Hannah Montana or whatever. Go to ESPN, go to the Men's BB scoreboard page, click under the game score for CBS sports' online streaming video. It is good. Just find a good internet connection somewhere in London.
The info on here is correct. Per the Texas Exes London website, there is a game watching party at the Sports Cafe, 80 Haymarket Street, London SW1Y 4TE. If I recall correctly, that is just up the road from Trafalgar Square, heading toward Piccadilly.
