Game times yesterday

Can anyone come up with a logical explanation of why the number 1 seed in the tourney had to play a middle of the day game? You would think the #1 seed would have earned the right to play an evening game yesterday. Don't really think that made a difference in the outcome but still...

They have generally tried to leave the evening games for OU/OSU to get in a bigger crowd. From what I saw of the Texas game yesterday the crowd was not all that big.

Maybe they need to look at moving it to another venue to see if fan interest will pick up. And now with the different format from the past couple of years they really only have day one to get either OU or OSU the prime playing time. But sounds like the OU game didnt have a big crowd either with the better game time.

I think fan reaction is appropriate.

It's a joke. It's not just a Big-12 thing.

The Pac10 used to have a north/south division for baseball with Stanford typically winning the south and Washington winning the north. A lot of the success that Washington had was due to the fact that Stanford had already received an automatic bid to Host, allowing Washington to play up and win the best of three series for the Pac10 automatic bid.
