Game Time FA

Any learned thoughts on game time for FA? My date has 2:30 wedding somewhere out in West Austin. I have told her that UT football comes first and since this is our first such prospective outing, the imperative to follow this rule is high. I will be surprised if it is not a late afternoon or early evening game, but are there any reliable rumors in play yet?

Nobody knows yet. Also, lots of things can happen between now and August 30. You might not have a conflict after all.

She understands that Texas football trumps some random wedding. If the game is at 6 or 7, great, I go to the wedding but not the reception. She can go back to Houston area with someone else if she wants to get home, because I won't leave until the Eyes are finished. If she takes a room at the hotel where rooms are being reserved, great, I too stay and maybe we get together for a night cap, and I will take her home on Sunday.

1. later game = more total drinking time, instead of the 3 hours you talk about.

2. we tailgate at 8:00 a.m., regardless of kickoff. this is how the pros do it.

Damn; I sure hadn't thought about an 11:00am kickoff. Surely but surely it won't be. Hell, that makes a much earlier start from Houston. Now, I can fully agree with the positive side of this; namely drinking in the morning instead of mid-late afternoon. Nevertheless, sure makes it easier for me if game is say, 6:00 pm. I go to wedding and then haul *** to the game and festivites.
