Game 3 and the rest of the series

Great 1st 5 innings by the offense, but we didn't hit anything against their bulllpen.

So, this goes back to Rhyner's point about our offense. The more he studied the Giants, the more he came back to his basic question. Can the Rangers hit this team?

Evidently their bulllpen pitching is incredibly good, so good that I think we should go back to playing more small ball against them. We hit into 3 DPs last night, one of which was given to them. The guy was out at 2nd, just barely, but Michael Young was safe at 1st.

We've got to make these relievers work harder by running them to death, get us out of double plays.

Good news, Feliz pitched about 13 pitches, will be fine tonight.

Tommy Hunter is due for a great outing. if not, I think Holland will pick up the slack.

I think we're gonna be much looser now that the team has won a game.

Need Josh to get back to the point where he's hitting doubles and singles as well as the occasional long ball. doesn't seem to be getting much contact. If the Giants pitch a right hander, I think Murphy will have a good offensive game.

We need to work all of these pitchers over like we worked over that starter last night. Our poster child is Moreland, what a nine pitch at-bat ends with a HR.

and one more thing, Posey is slightly overrated. I looked, noticed we didn't try to steal in game 1, but since then Posey is 1 for 3 throwing us out trying to steal. And he does hit a little, 3 for 12, but not anything earth-shaking.

We need to ramp up the running. If we can rattle them just a little with the running, we've got a pretty decent chance.

imo Posey isn't over rated, their pitchers are very easy to run on...it'd be nice to do so.

it does play into our hitters adv, tho....when elvis gets on they're throwing to 1b several times to hold him on to 1b....if our hitters stay on with their focusednessess, we can turn it to a plus w/o stealing a base in a particular AB
