G1 Phone, Fresh thread

that last G1 thread by Loop (I think) was pretty informative. I figured it'd been a while and with the recent updates that it might be fun to kick around some fresh thoughts on apps, updates, etc.
it's minor, but i like the sound once you enable the "Audible Selection".
There are also many more options with regard to contacts that are pretty cool.
Some time ago, I got a little Market fatigue and quit bothering to shop for new apps. Any classics lately?
Oh wait, I did download the Eiffel Tower screen saver app which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool. Every 30 minutes your screen saver changes to a live webcam of famous landmarks and even a NASA image of the sun.

That sounds awesome. Gonna have to get that. This phone is fantastic. Ya gotta love the open platform and not having to buy a new phone!

Good to see some love for the G1! I write apps for android and it's frustrating that so few people have android phones.

That said, I have and iPhone and a G1, and I really like the iPhone much better - though android is great for software development.

from my experience i would agree that the iphone is better right now. I do think the G1 will surpass it though.
i also just downloaded that picsay app. pretty fun doctoring the photos that you've taken and then texting them to your friends. i put a mustache and eye patch on my sister and sent it to her husband!
