I will have to admit, with some shame, I will probably never vote for a female or another African American president, regardless of party.
The hypocrisy of the media and the affiliated political party has now, with the drone situation, finally pushed me over the top.
When I think of Benghazi, the outrage when Bush used drones, interrogation tactics, Guantanamo, on and on....Bush was/or would be absolutely crucified for any of this. Cindy Sheehan and her gang camping out at his ranch, his image being burned in effigy, people calling him "Chimpy"........I think we all know the screaming outrage that would occur if any protests of this sort happened to Obama.
I can't help but think this goes beyond partisan politics, but has turned into a gross miscarriage of "political correctness".
The economy is horrible, jobless rates are still poor,( worst among the black population with lower wages) but all we hear about is gun control and immigration--smoke and mirrors to distract from more important economic issues and the health care debacle that is coming.
I feel like there is an inability to criticize Obama without being labeled a "racist" and our country is basically without the check/balance of facts and fair questioning of the President. And, sadly, I feel that any African American or woman in the future would be protected by the fear of being politically incorrect as well.
There have just been too many gaffes, decisions that border on unconstitutional or issues that are just flat-out ignored that I just don't think I can ever risk it again.
Does anyone else feel like Obama gets a double extra pass from an already left-leaning media due to his race?
