Future President

I will have to admit, with some shame, I will probably never vote for a female or another African American president, regardless of party.

The hypocrisy of the media and the affiliated political party has now, with the drone situation, finally pushed me over the top.

When I think of Benghazi, the outrage when Bush used drones, interrogation tactics, Guantanamo, on and on....Bush was/or would be absolutely crucified for any of this. Cindy Sheehan and her gang camping out at his ranch, his image being burned in effigy, people calling him "Chimpy"........I think we all know the screaming outrage that would occur if any protests of this sort happened to Obama.

I can't help but think this goes beyond partisan politics, but has turned into a gross miscarriage of "political correctness".

The economy is horrible, jobless rates are still poor,( worst among the black population with lower wages) but all we hear about is gun control and immigration--smoke and mirrors to distract from more important economic issues and the health care debacle that is coming.

I feel like there is an inability to criticize Obama without being labeled a "racist" and our country is basically without the check/balance of facts and fair questioning of the President. And, sadly, I feel that any African American or woman in the future would be protected by the fear of being politically incorrect as well.
There have just been too many gaffes, decisions that border on unconstitutional or issues that are just flat-out ignored that I just don't think I can ever risk it again.

Does anyone else feel like Obama gets a double extra pass from an already left-leaning media due to his race?

I would vote for this guy in a New York second! He spoke 5 days ago at the National Prayer Breakfast. I couldn't believe his courage. He is Dr. Benjamin Carson, the Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins' University.

Dr. Benjamin Carson's Speech

By the way, I agree with you, but we can't let that stop us from looking for the best person (man or woman regardless of ethnic background.

Besides, you and I both know that the media would suddenly become VERY politically incorrect if the conservatives put a non-white person or a woman in office. Look at Clarence Thomas, Sarah Palin, or Herman Cain.

I think you can see the media beginning to write the 2016 narrative with Marco Rubio. First Black President followed by first Hispanic President.

Sheehan has continued to protest the Obama administration and has been arrested several times. The media has just stopped covering it. Coincidence I'm sure.

Don't reject all black or female candidates because of how Obama is treated by the media. Obama could be a Swedish, and he'd still get a pass. It's his politics and agenda that are getting him the pass.

Mr. Deez is right. They love him because they love his socialist agenda. The fact to he is black just makes it harder for anyone to call them on their incredible bias, because they can just label them as racists.
