So I rent funny games (spoilers obviously) which is a german terror flick that they reshot with english speaking actors.
I got it mostly because I'll watch anything with Tim Roth in it.
The director did such a good job that I couldnt finish it. Not because I was scared but because I hated roth and naomi watt's characters so much that I wanted the evil ***** boys to kill them.
Synopsis two weedy little 18 year old ***** boys do a home invasion and kill the whole family. During the course of the movie the family has numerous chances to escape or more importantly, arm themselves.
Now I turned it off after naomi watts gets recaptured after running down the road because I couldn't bear them eventually getting away or killing hteir captors which my gf says doesn't happen (clap clap)
Anyway, the director im convinved isn't trying to scare you, he's trying to make you hate the victims and Roth is such a good actor he makes you completely hate him as a weak ***** and naomi watts is too stupid to live so by then end of the movie (or rather the part that i watched) I just wanted them to die an agonizing death.
I give the little kid a pass because he's young but wtf, he was over the fence then he comes back?
The little ***** boy home invaders are so NOT scary that im sure he picked them so you would feel contempt for the family rather than fear for of the attackers.
DId anyoneelse watcc the movie and think how the attackers would be chokcin gon their own blood a million times over in the movie? They make a million mistakes, Roth and watts have a million chances to get weapons and kill the little *******.
The writer/director are either geniuses or the movie was just ******* stupid - i cant tell yet.
