Fun things for kids to do in Austin

What are some cool things for kids (10 and 13) to do in Austin for a 2-3 day vacation? This will be later in November, and the people in question aren't UT alums or fans, so I don't think they'd be interested in a football or basketball game.

The Bullock State History Museum is already on the agenda. I haven't lived in Austin in over 6 years, and its been 15-20 years since I was that age, so I was struggling to offer suggestions. I figured there's no better resource than hornfans, so if anyone has any ideas they's be appreciated.

austin zoo perhaps, it deserves some attention!

When I was that age I loved the Snake Farm down in New Braunfels. Amy's is always a good call too.

how about the dell children's museum down around 3rd street? i went once with some kids i babysat for and they loved it.

Go to Longhorn sporting events.

They should love that.
It's like a mini amusement park if you are tall enough to get in to some of the rides.

Laser tag, go carts (one is a race car).
It's not bad.

Is the 13 year old a boy or girl? I certainly think that when I was 13, I would not want to go to a mini-amusement park for little kids and would prefer instead to go shopping/people watch on the Drag.
