Ft Worth hotels near Will Rogers?

I am going to be in Ft Worth for the Ron White concert and need a decent hotel close to the Auditorium. I have never been to Ft. Worth and have no idea what is close by.

I don't know where the auditorium is but to me there is only one hotel in Ft. Worth. The Worthington.

Just stay downtown. It's a short ride down 7th Street or Lancaster to the Will Rogers.

Plenty to choose from in downtown. Hilton, Worthington, Embassy Suites, etc.

Closest place I know of is the Residence Inn Cultural District, which is located right near the river between the Will Rogers and downtown. Stayed there recently on a business trip and it's quite nice if you want a very large room (all rooms are suites with kitchens), free internet, better than average free breakfast, free food, beer and wine reception on weeknights, and don't mind not having room service or bellhops. Hotel is only a couple of years old, so everything's nice and new. Price is typically $189/night, which will save you $50 or so per night over the downtown places like the Worthington. Drive is 7 or 8 blocks - just a little too far to walk.

I've also stayed at the Worthington and can recommend it as well- nice place. I hear the downtown Hilton has been recently renovated. Anything downtown would be within a short couple minute drive of the Will Rogers.

The Worthington is a good hotel, but the nicest hotel in town is the Ashton Hotel on Main St. in downtown. It's a luxury boutique hotel in the former home of the Fort Worth Club.
