ft lauderdale hotel recommendations?

I'm taking my bride to Ft. Lauderdale for our honeymoon. I've been looking at hotels in the area and pretty much have it narrowed down to 2 hotels but can't decide between the 2. I am willing to listen to any other recommendations though, as long as they are in my price range. I can't afford anything over about $275 a night. Which one of these two hotels would you choose and why? Here are the two I'm looking at right now...

Some of FLL's beaches are less than desirable with HS kids, loud music, and not the element you want your bride exposed to on your honeymoon.

Call and negotiate with The Harbor Beach Marriott 16 acrees & private beach). the Marriott on 17th (on the Intercoastal), and what was once Pier 66. All three are owned by Wayne Huisinga (sp). I have gotten some really good rates over the years at Harbor Beach.

Depending on when you're going, I believe the room numbers at Harbor Beach are 1045 & 1145 - great suites.

Og the two you listed, I would prefer the Atlantis because it is on the beach.
