"Florida State has been to Omaha more often (21 times) than anyone else in the sport. But, incredibly, the Noles have never won it all."
So reports Kevin Lyttle, incredibly, on the eve of the 2012 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
Perhaps the writer is too young to remember that a few other teams have been to Omaha more often than Florida State, in fact, four others.
I know it has been a long time, but one team from our own state has been there, incredibly, a considerable number of times.
Perhaps the writer could use a correction or two from some readers. Here is the email address: [email protected].
A retraction, apology, and public tar and feathering may be in order.

I emailed Mr. Lyttle, and got a nice reply, so maybe I shouldn't have been quite so critical about it. He meant to say FSU appeared the most without winning up at Omaha, which is what I figured he meant to say. He will correct the error, possibly avoiding the tar and feathers.

Jeez, talk about "what have you done for me lately".

Does he still have the lyttle mullet like he did in the early 90's photo?

It's good he was kind in his reply and acknowledged the error. We all make mistakes sometimes.

Next thing you know he'll write something like this:

"Texas A&M has lost fewer games at the College World Series than Texas."
