FSU/Arky

Never for arky. FSU is probably a bigger threat but I dont wish arky fans to be there in omaha rooting against the horns and starting ****.
 
fsu brings better baseball and much better fans. there baseball fans are very passionate about their baseball. almost aggyish in their cheering... excuse me, yelling.

i have nothing against arky. i simply don't give a **** about them. i wasn't around during the hated swc days, i was in fayettenam for the football game and i realize they haven't let any hard feelings go... but their fans bring nothing but problems.
 
Rain delay. Score is 1-1 and arky has the bases loaded with no outs. Makes me wonder just how bad ohio state is. And how bad Georgia is to lose to ohio state.
 
I will root for Florida State second only to the Horns. When Texas went to their Super and won, their fans started websites to let the world know how great Longhorn baseball and it fans were. They were gracious in the extreme. So I will root for FSU in baseball unless they are playing the Horns.

Plus they aren't giving in to the NCAA mascot police.

But I remember how sweet it was to knock Arky out of the Seeeries in '04. Bar-B-Qued Piggy.

Didn't we lose to hog in an early game, enduring some inverted "Hook 'ems" and quite the trash talkin' and then have to come ALL the way back through the loser's bracket and continually remind them that you have to win all the way to Monday to go to the Supers?

Sounds familiar but I may just be getting my SEC teams confused.
 
You remember correctly. In 2005, we had to come back and beat the Pigs twice after losing to them on Saturday in the regional.
 
We also lost the first game of the Super (@ Ole Miss) that year, leading Augie to tell the team in Omaha: "Try doing it through the winners' bracket this time; I promise you it's easier that way."

Or at least he claimed, after the team went undefeated in the CWS, to have told them that.

Yes, Martin is a good coach, but so is Van Horn and FSU has a history of postseason disappointments. I sure hope the 'Noles come back, but I'm not optimistic about their chances. If they lose it will be debatable, as in 2003 when they were the #1 national seed and lost at home to the 'Horns, whether it really should even be called an upset.

I agree with the praise for the FSU fans; they were gracious in wishing the 'Horns well after their loss. One told me Texas needed to be sure to beat Miami for them.

Good grief; the reverse jinx attempt wasn't even enough to help force game three. FSU led 5-1 after six, gave up five in the seventh, one in the eighth to trail 7-5. They took an 8-7 lead with three in the top of the ninth, gave up two in the bottom to lose.

What have their baseball fans ever done to deserve so much post-season misery?
 
They are in the other bracket. I'd much rather see CSF, LSU or the winner of Ole Miss/UVA knock them out; can't root for Van Horn to win anything in Omaha.
