Frozen drink recipes

I got a new blender the other day and started trying my hand at making frozen drinks. I have been using the pre-made margarita mix. They are OK, but not as good as many that Ive had in restraunts. What is the key to making good ones? Does anyone have a good recipe for frozen margaritas to share? Maybe a good Pina Colada recipe too.

Go to HEB and buy the store brand of limeade (large can), a fresh mango, and the frozen, sugar-added strawberries.

Fill blender with ice, add tequila, triple sec, 2/3 can of limeade, half the mango peeled and cubed and half the strawberries. Blend well.

Get the small can of frozen limeade. Put in blender. Add a full can of tequila and a half can of Curacao. Add ice to the top and blend to a shaved ice consistency if your blender will do it. You'll get a nice, tasty blue margarita.

An important note: get a good tequila. It'll make a difference. Go at least the Jose Cuervo premium.

Instead of the Curacao you can add Triple Sec, Citronge, or Marie Blizard (sp?) All are orange flavored liquers.

This is quick, easy and good!

McMikes is the staple. Can't miss on this one, I like Minute Maid limeade, its not so sour. I also like Triple Sec, and sometimes just a dab of orange juice.

I do the HEB limade route too.

About half the large can of limade. A good amount of tequila and about half as much triple sec as tequila. Add a bit of sugar and a dash of orange juice.

Don't over-booze it. If you use too much booze, you won't be able to get it thick enough.

And I disagree on the tequila. Go to specs and have them recommend a good tequila for mixing-- they have several that don't cost too much. We always buy one called Hacienda De la Tepa. - buy clear tequila b/c it makes the margaritas look kinda brown if you use the gold tequila.
Damnit. Now I want a margarita.

I use Sauza Marg mix. I am very particlar about mixes. I will ONLY use Sauza Marg mix (only Mr&Mrs. T's for sours). I use that as directed with Sauza silver tequila (pretty cheap, but WAY smoother than any Cuervo [which is gawd awful] product). Upscale it a bit with Herradura Silver. Then use whichever orange liquour you like. I just use some cheap Triple Sec. Also, you can add a splash of OJ.
