Frontline 2/17 'Inside the Meltdown'

It started about 15 minutes ago. It will replay later tonight for those who wish to DVR it.

Frontline is always good and this episode about the Wall Street meltdown last September, is no exception, so far.
 
They really just touched the surface though. I would have liked to have watched far more in depth reporting on the underlying cause or causes. It probably would have made the show 2 hours instead of 1 hour, but it would have been worth it because the show was more like a history lesson on what the actors did but did not delve very deeply into the causes.
 
Important topic and I thought they handled it pretty well. Most people don't even have a general idea of what has happened to our financial sector in the last couple of years.

But there is definitely a larger topic that would have taken more time -- you could watch that Frontline and think this "toxic assets" problem just sprung up in 2008. The bigger story would be how the culture of irresponsibility and over-reliance on finance has been building in the US for decades.

That's more of a West Mall discussion...I agree this was a solid Frontline episode.
