Friends' Take On VY

We were on the Kansas 45 yard line, so I really doubt that we were thinking about kicking a field goal on that 4th and 18 play.
 
if thought you were having a seizure in the parking lot try being at the game having Vince literally running right at you on that play and watch someone lose their mind in the stands. I almost killed Orangeblood, who to his credit NEVER gave up hope we were going to win that game- EVER.
 
Vince Young had already made so many amazing runs that I don't think any of the group of 20 or so I was watching the game with had given up hope. We all seriously thought "You know, Vince could actually run for this and make it." By the time 3rd and 30 came up the next year, I didn't even think it was that daunting of a situation.

Once, in a tight game against Kansas, Young asked his coach on fourth-and-18 if he wanted him to score or go to overtime. When Brown said score, Young said, "You got it, baby."

I was standing in the front row right about where he went out of bounds. Despite my voice bein' pretty much gone by that point I like to think Vince heard me screamin'.

Old man needs to keep his fish story dreams to his old damn self.

I'm thinkin' everyone woulda been better off in the long run.
