Fried Turkey in Austin

Anyone know where I can buy a fried turkey? Central Market is not doing them this year.

Sambets has about 50 slots left to order one of their cajun deep fried turkeys for Thanksgiving. I'm on their email list and can forward you all the ordering and pricing info that they sent me by email if you want. If you've ever eaten at Sambet's, you know its going to be awesome.

i'm on the list gakfoo is talking about as well. here is the latest email with the contat info for ordering a turkey:
First of all for all of you that have been waiting on our house hot sauce, Doug just got back from Louisiana last night with a sleigh full of all kinds of hot sauces, spices, boudin, you name it!! We'll be geting everything on shelves this weekend. Great stocking stuffers, work gifts, thank you gifts for clients- who doesn't want a good bottle of hot sauce?? We can put you together a gift basket. We'll have premade ones after thanksgiving.

Still have a few slots left for turkeys- I added 50 slots yesterday- 25 left, then that's it- I cannot be persuaded or cajoled into adding one more turkey after we hit the 250 mark!! Call 258-6410 to order.

If you're doing your own turkey or ham, we gotcha covered there, too. Marinades, injectors, rubs, a cool kit (great gift idea!) with everything you need to do one turkey and one ham. $15.95. I've also printed up instructions for frying your own.

Hours- Wednesday next week- close at 4:00 except for turkey pickups.
Thanksgiving Day- passing out 250 birds and grocery open. No dining in or hot food to go. If you want gumbo, etc. for holiday, call me now and I'll quart up what you need- can pick up on T-Day.
Friday- Closed (we all collapse for 24 hours!)
Saturday- Open 11-8 (maybe 9-see how busy we are) So bring visiting family in to try us out!
Sunday- Closed
