Fried Green Tomatos

Had to pull about a hundred pounds off the vines because of all the freezing weather. I need to store some, but wanted to fry some. Anyone have a good recipe for green tomatoes?
 
Slice 'em fat equatorially.

Salt 'em. Pepper 'em.

Dredge 'em in egg wash and then in a corn meal/flour mixture.

Fry 'em in bacon fat. (Oh , okay then, fry 'em in corn oil.)

Send me some.
 
yankee here...what else can you do with them? Are they any good roasted and in a salsa, like a tomatillo?
 
Some people around here pickle them, some make green tomato salsa. Other than that, I wrap them in paper and store them till I want some, put them in the window and let them ripen.
