The baseball team deserves support just as much as the hoops squad. Hopefully everyone unable to attend in Reliant makes their way to The Disch this weekend.
Great, now people with jobs can't see the baseball game. I'm not sure if this will generate a better crowd than if they had played at night. A double header on Saturday was the best solution, but god knows nobody plays those anymore.
Can someone who understands it please post about the weekend travel rule for conference games? By moving this game up to 3pm, are we setting the scene for having to end the Sunday game at an artificially early time?
And for what it's worth, I think we would have been better off if they had just left the baseball game at 6pm and borrowed a bunch of giant screen TVs and set them up everywhere to show the basketball game. Heck, why not show the basketball game on the scoreboard between innings?
From what I recall, the time limit for series starts when the visiting team arrives, not when the first game starts. Based on this, I'd assume Nebraska will be in town Thursday evening.
Sorry, but I don't remember the exact time limit length.
I have no personal issue with the time change, as I get off work at noon on Fridays, but I am sad for my friends who can't afford to take leave from work just for this game. There are some people, believe it or not, who just don't care for basketball and would rather the baseball game be played at its regularly scheduled time. Then the basketball people could watch the game in Billy Goat Hill.
