So I was pleasantly surprised to see I had 4 episodes of FNL recorded. I had no idea the new season had kicked off and after watching the premier I realized how much I missed the show. I must admit it doesn't have the same feel as with the old cast but is still a great show. I really hope we don't lose Julie as a regular though.

Really upset this show is coming to an end. My favorite show on TV. Maybe it will have a "Family Guy" type resurgence in a few years. Eric Taylor can coach Jes's younger brothers to a state championship.

And, please don't spoil anything, I don't have DirecTv anymore so I am watching it on NBC.

Next to Community and Modern Family, it's hands down my favorite show on TV these days.

I hope we hire Coach Taylor when Mack hangs it up and I hope he brings Buddy Garrity with him as his football operations guy.

And in closing, I love me some Tammy Taylor.

I was glad I have Direct TV so I didn't have to wait. Now I'm not because it's over. Terrific show, don't miss an episode this season.

Well that's it..no mas. I can honestly say I'm deeply saddened to know that it has come to an end. This show had me at hello and I will miss this show incredibly. It was a perfect picture of what football is like under the lights and was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

They cut the lights off on the cast and crew....but the town of Dillon and Coach Taylor will have

Texas Forever.......

You said it well - I bid adieu on Cactus Cafe. I'm sick of all TV being geared toward the lowest common denominator. I will always love Coach, Tammy, et al.

I'm buying the whole series as soon as it's out so I can watch it again and again.

I didn't get into FNL until the last two seasons (long ago watched pilot and didn't like it). But it developed into a really good sports/family drama. I just wish it had less teenage-love-interest filler, and more football/school.

Also, I can't recall any other network show that has as much underage-beer-drinking in it. And adult drinking. Every male in that show drinks nothing but beer or something harder. I drink a lot myself, so I'm not really offended, but I think it's strange to see underage kids casually drinking in a honkytonk bar, especially when the staff knows they are underage.
