Freezing breffast tacos

Is there any reason why I can't? I have to feed almost 20 people on the beach and I really don't feel like cooking. Thinking about taking tacquitos and heating them up in a dutch oven. Bad idea?

I've done it many times before for "company", so that I could make a bunch ahead of time and not have to cook in the mornings.

I wrap mine individually in wax paper and then foil or put them in a gallon baggie for freezing. But that's for microwaving. I guess you could just wrap them in foil for the dutch oven.

I have successfully done this with breakfast tacos while visiting family in New England, knowing there would be no hope of breakfast tacos during my trip. Pretty much any heating method besides microwaving worked well. The tortillas were pretty soggy in the microwave.

You could probably freeze the cooked eggs, and other ingredients seperately, and then have your production line ready to go.
Dish the goods directly from a dutch oven and go.

By the way, the surf is flat as glass, and the jack crevalle are hitting the bait.

Thanks. That's a big burden off of me. We'll stop at the Golden Buzzard for some cold fried shikken and we are good to go.

I'd make the boys do the assembly line, but it's easier to just have them made already and I'm into easy since I'm doing just about everything.

Is am 8/9 weight enough rod for a Jack and what would I throw at one. I've got a 9 base 8 tip Loomis Megataper and a good Abel reel. It has only caught about 5 bones so far.

If the surf is unproductive, the jetties are hot right now. Fish Pass, and the main ones are reporting jacks and some tarpon.
If Billy takes you all the way down, I imagine the Mansfield Jetty will be good.
There's lots of weed in the water, but the jetties act like big traps.

9 wt is good...get some clousers.
Chartreuse and white, and the red and white pattern.
Shock leader is good. Go see that cute blond at Gruene Outfitters, she'll hook you up.

Actually, you can microwave them with some success. Mrs. Macanudo will make a huge batch and we'll freeze the leftovers. If you take them out of the freezer and let them thaw for 60-90 minutes before you nuke them, they don't get as soggy. I used to take the with me to work and then nuke them after I got there. Worked pretty well.

We've got a trip scheduled with Billy in September.
It's going to be a loooooong Summer waiting.

Word is, Phil Shook may tag along.
I'm sure to look like a fool with the company on that trip.
These guys can double haul a cast and reach the 3rd bar.
I'm lucky to hit the wade gut when I'm standing in it.

As chief cook and bottle washer, I always plan for more than I can handle. Flyfishing while the boys are trying to catch sharks is the first item that will go undone. I've got my silly string out and ready to go, but I'm not counting on it happening.

The only double haul I'm capable of is the second trash can out to the curb.

50 tacquitos are chilling in the freezer as I type.

I don't get the humor in the dutch oven reference. I'm moving slow today.
