Free Sports on Internet???

I went to an Internet site that used to have a bunch of basketball, baseball, etc., but today I got a Homeland Security thingy saying that this was an illegal site and had been shut down (or words to that effect).
Are there any sites where I can get sports?

******* homeland security - i thought they were supposed to be out fighting terrorism, not screwing with me wanting to watch college basketball.

well, expect to be contacted by homeland security and maybe some legal people. I guess they are cracking down on people who break the law.

If you want or need the game tonight it should be legal on espn or their websites.

But what if its not illegal down here to watch it on the net, why are you Americans always forcing your morality on the rest of the world.

Look out your window or cave opening, Potato Man. Do you see the helicopters overhead? No? That's because the paint that is black at night is invisible by day. They are coming after you too. You are the ringleader.

this crackdown makes me even more grateful for the Longhorn network that's starting up. It's nice when you live in Texas and can get all the games on TV. But if it weren't for channelsurfing.net I wouldn't have gotten to watch half the football games this season. and forget baseball...half the games last year, i had to listen to the insufferable comments of the opposing teams' broadcasts. ESPN3 has done a great job of significantly expanding their basketball coverage.

the department of homeland security only seized the domain for atdhe.net, i.e. the URL. The servers hosting the site are still up and running in sweden, and you can still access the site by going directly to their ip address, or by going to their new international domain. I'm willing to bet that posting either on this board would probably be breaking the rules, but you can easily google both.

Beyond that, ESPN offers ESPN3 on just about every internet provider now, and Time Warner has begun testing out a new streaming service for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and Buzzer Beaters in Austin, TX. Any cable customer in Austin can go online and stream these channels online for free provided they have a time warner account. I live in Houston and have AT&T u-verse with no TV, only internet, but I have a friend who is still going to school at Texas and he sent me his Time Warner login info and I'm able to stream all the ESPN sites, which tells me that they don't check the internet provider like they did with ESPN3.

I've been living without TV for 3 years now and let me tell you that it's absolutely possible to still grab sports if you look around. Hope this post helps.
