Free At Last Baylor Players Free At Last

The 2005 OSU game was a treat.
By the time the comeback was on, the stadium was half empty. But everyone who stayed, made up for it in intensity. It seemed louder than ever before to me.
Funnest experience I have ever had at a sporting event, hands down. There were no fans in their seats. Everyone was dancing in the aisles, prefect strangers hugging each other, everyone screaming their heads off in joy.
I really hope we get to enjoy some of those good times again. Last few years DKR has been like a mausoleum to me for every game I have been to. Seems like a long time ago that the place was rocking.

Stidham said to be headed to mcc. Do they have a football team?

Nope.

"Today, McLennan sponsors six varsity-level teams that compete in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association: baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's golf, women's golf and softball. The MCC Dance Company is also part of the athletic department and competes annually at the ADTS Collegiate Championship and NDA Collegiate Nationals."

Maybe he is trying out for the Dance team.

If he goes to MCC, he will not have to sit out a year, then can sign with another school in January. Will Kingsbury take him back? It's a long way to Pullman. He fits the mold Petrino likes. Please just not Norman or Stillwater.

He will probably go to MCC to sit and wait to see who the new head coaches are in McLennan and Brazos Counties will be, as well as if there are changes in Austin and Baton Rouge.

That might be my "loudest moment" as well. It was like nothing I've been a part of. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where we were going into halftime down 21 points and really believing that we were going to win. At least that was the vibe where I was sitting - maybe I just believed hard enough that it seemed like everyone else did. :D Even before the TD drive, I thought that if we scored on the last drive, we were going to win. Something about the way the game had played out, something about the effort that the team showed on the goal line stand where OSU went up by 28 (and I still think we stopped them on fourth down although in retrospect it might have actually been good that it played out as it did.)

BTW I was at the UH game in '90 as well, and I know that in the context of that day and time and what we were used to in DKR, it was an absolute madhouse. The atmosphere was electric from the start and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed the beating. But I'm not sure it really was as loud as some crowds we've had since then. That was back in the day when DKR crowds were essentially there for the social scene and not much else. They were basically worthless as a home field advantage for most of the '80s. So it was a complete change to actually hear a crowd that was engaged and actively trying to influence a game's outcome.

Stidham out

Such bs why leave when he would be the man next season maybe even this year if Russell hurts his neck again

Who is Wescott Eberts besides some clueless neverwas wannabe? He gives Grobe a "D" in his attempts to change Baylor? If changing the coffee grounds in the office is above his pay grade, why the hell would anyone with an ounce of intelligence think he could do anything more important?

Ken Starr - paid off and in hiding

AD - oops, don't have one, and no one will take the job

Art Briles - again, is anyone in NCAA history better at hush money than Baylor

Major donors - used their money to rent bunkers at Fort Hood

BOR - the "we were never informed of any problems" defense is past old and until everyone on that board is gone, Baylor will be corrupt.

Baylor cannot financially afford to cut ties with that handful of big boosters, and they are up to their eyebrows in this ****.

If the guy is an acting head coach - which is how he's currently listed - then I'm not sure why anyone would expect that he's supposed to "restore" anything other than making sure there's a coach in place.
