They think I'm growng my tomatoes for them. I lost two tomatoes I was about to pick yesterday. Basards. Oh well. I went to Home Depot and bought some bird netting and put it over my plants. Do I need to do anything else?

I had this problem as well, in my case in was mockingbirds. This year I do have an air rifle, which has already disposed of a flock of grackles, 1 squirrel, and my best friend in the *** with one pump.

I'll trade you my squirrels for your birds. The damn things are going to eat every last one of my peaches this year.,

Next year, try this:

When you first start getting blooms, hang about 4 or 5 red Christmas ornaments on each bush.......the solid "ball" ornaments...........the birds will be attracted to them, peck at them and over time will believe that the bushes don't have good fruit, and will leave 'em alone.

No joke. It really works.

Mockingbirds are very territorial, so you are dealing with the same handful of birds.
