What a year - Gilbert could have had a legit shot at earning his spot back and Shead would absolutely be getting a shot now - all gone.

My heart is just as sad about this even after it has sunk in.

I wonder how much that ****** turf up there had to do with it if anything at all? Craig Way was talking about it the day before the game on his radio show. He talked about how it was exposing threads or something. Said it was really bad. Grrr.

Whittaker has been a huge part of this year for Texas. His TD runs were one of the best parts of this season and an injury will never take any of that away. He has a bright future whether he plays football again or not. Hook'em Fozzy.

you have to really love what he has done for our university. he embraced his role this year and is a true leader. i'm reminded what Mack told the team after winning nat. champ. "don't let this be the best thing that ever happens to you!" i guarantee playing football for UT will not be the greatest thing Fozzy does in life. thank you Fozzy

When he is introduced Saturday night, it will bring a tear to my eye.
Fozzy had bad luck with injuries each season, and it appeared he was finally at full speed this year. Harsin designed a brilliant package of plays for Fozzy, and really perked up our offense. Then to see him be put in the role of firstdown running back instead of the third down guy, and to suffer that season-ending injury, the air just went out of our sails. Horrible ending to such a promising year.
We will all miss Fozzy's leadership behind the scenes and his on-the-field contributions. Good luck to a great Longhorn, with his recovery and future endeavors, whether in pro ball or otherwise.
