Fozzy, Ready For The Pigs?

He should be ready for Arkansas. He could have played against Rice but the decision was to continue to rest the knee. Tanner should return to to his guard position also. Collins did get into the Rice game and he was the third player who was to be held out.

Agreed with last post. Everyone that was questionable this week should be back. Davis said "Hopefully Fozzy will be ready" for this Saturday but I dont see a reason why he wont play. This is it from here on out. No point in resting him any longer......especially with Irby being gone.

The reason why he didn't play was because he is still injured. That's a pretty good reason. He also was not needed. That's two good reasons. He will probably not be needed against Arkansas either.

He needs to get healthy first, and then play.

I don't care if he plays against the piggies or not, I just want Fozzy to be in tip-top form against Oklahoma and Missouri. That's when the Big 12 marbles will be on the line.

"not really...UT's second string should handle Colorado"

I hope your right. A lot of our fans are taking this game somewhat for granted including me... until lately. Horns on paper are a better team, are more talented and playing better than CU, etc. However, I am becoming more concerned about this away game in a hostile environment - I suspect the Horns may have a tougher time with the buffs than many of us think.

I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV. Well not really, but I think Fozzy needs to rest it up instead of playing the pigs. Arky should be a pretty easy win and as stated before, we should not NEED him. The question is then Colorado. I think they are, at the least, a pretty solid team and strange things happen at altitude. I hope Fozzy plays in Boulder, if for no other reason than he needs some game experience before facing the meat of our schedule. I know it is a balance between game experience and R&R but I would think he would sit/get 5 or so carries this week. And then hopefully significant time against Colorado early. Get him carries early to see how he fares against a starting Big 12 defense and then let others take over. But that is just MHO

If we lose to a team that was down 21-7 to Eastern Washington or one that was down 24-6 to La-Monroe, we should just forfeit the year.

If Fozzy is going to be good enough to be a factor against OU, he is going to need some real playing time against quality opponents in order to be prepared. I hope he is healthy enough to play against both the Pigs and the Buffs.

Fozzy hurt his knee before the season started. And then it got better for UTEP, played, had a good game... when did he hurt it again to be held out of Rice?
