Foster

There's a culture problem with this team, never seen so many players quit, them come back. Herman needs to put an end to this BS, if you quit, if you enter the portal, you are gone... Simple. Can't win ships with cancer in the locker room...
I saw no evidence of a culture issue yesterday. This Portal stuff is a normal, albeit BS nationwide issue,
Happens everywhere, difference being Herman didn’t lose anyone of significance.

I know it was UTEP, but when’s the last time we saw walkons playing? Been since the Mack glory days. I see the culture here now as very good.

Eagles and Foster are examples of extremely talented players w maybe attitude issues. Eagles became a complainer last year, and, this year, he seems to have alligator arms and got signals crossed w Sam a couple times. Foster had major shoulder issues from blowing up plays and it cost him. Eagles could be brilliant but seems like his head isn’t in the game (Terrell Owens?)...

I was very disappointed to read this about BJ this morning. I think he has a World of talent and probably can play at the next level. But walking out on a team in the middle of a game is about as bad as it gets. If he is still with the team, then I'm assuming this story isn't 100% true or perhaps inflated. Otherwise, TH is setting a horrible precedence.

I don’t care if he’s the second coming of Johnny Johnson, Jerry Gray, Earl Thomas and Aaron Ross combined, he freakin’ quit. During a game! Pack your stuff BJ, you’re gone. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Controversial, but true:

The team’s medical staff really f@cked him over last year, essentially letting him on the field with serious injuries. Further, the coaches never should have put him on the field in the condition he was in (talking about last year). He should be cut some slack on this—this one time. If it becomes a habit, that’s a different story.

As far as his abilities, I really love the way he hits, but his coverage skills could be better.

To the one who pooped my post, think about it. Dude turns his back on his team because he's selfish, but is back the next day with them? He's not a freshman. He's supposed to be a team leader, and he failed, miserably. Speaks volumes about his character, or lack thereof.

No I mean to your point and you’re absolutely right is that I was given a second chance and it made a big impact on me so a lot of my opinions are coming from that. I also have experience with a young man who was given a second chance who would completely blow you away.
Google Mack White ... He’s done a lot more than walk off a football team man.
I understand what you’re saying so don’t get me wrong but if this is a one time incident and BJ is remorseful, I’d let it go.

I might give him a second chance but wouldn't play him against Tech. 2nd chance but with repercussions.

The poop was based upon your keyboard toughtalk if as I doubt you’d say that to his face. So double poop, brother.

There was a time when we wouldn't know about the pouting and whining for PT because there was no social media or transfer portal. Now, everything is under a microscope, and I don't envy the position coaches and HC's who have to deal with it.

There was a DB circa 1997-98 who tried to parlay an injury into a position change and complained VERY publicly about his mistreatment by the new (Mack's) staff. Guys like Jammer tried to get him to lay low, but he walked off the practice field in August and that was that. Adios. Didn't hear much about it in the news.

Herman should cut BJ if and only if it means opening up a space for a very highly rated recruit. He has to manage the roster, even if that means keeping malcontents, temporarily.

Apparently now you can quit during a game, not a practice session, and by lunch the next day you’re back to exercising with the team.

I guess it’s no big deal to the players - maybe they’re thinking “that could be me quitting next week.”

As for the coaches, easiest way to stop behavior is to make that behavior have consequences. If you can quit a game and come back or enter the portal and come back, expect more of it.

It’s Herman’s team to coach and lead as he sees fit. It’s his job to make it all work and produce championships. No excuses this year. B12 or he’s a dud.

well, I hope he comes back...
honestly, the last few months has almost everyone on edge...
if there was a door I could storm off and exit all of this....please, show me the way...these are tough times....

This is a message board last I checked. Is BJ going to beat me up because I called him out for turning his back on his teammates? Oh no.
Yeah, exactly my point. You and I both know you wouldn’t call him a B to his face. Not only because you might be B slapped yourself, because I doubt you go around calling people a B to thier face. Internet, sure...
I Amit-
I miss the days when people wouldn’t call someone a B to their face because there was a better than zero chance they would have to back it up. Now everyone is a tough guy.
An opinion is one thing, so my opinion is that the anyone who personally attacks another hiding behind a psydo name needs to take a long look at themselves
Bud, you wanna say he’s immature, needs to be gone ...fine.
Calling him a B is not an opinion and no way you will ever change my mind that you would not call him- or the third string team manager a B to thier face. No one does that.
I guess the better question is if a player would call you a B for making a mistake? That’s something we’ll never know.

I think both of you guys are good posters who I like to read around here. Hopefully, you two can get past this as I think that was just @2003TexasGrad just saying something in is normal way. Not trying to be an internet tough guy, just having a little less filter because, yes, it is behind a keyboard. No big deal. I think it's different when we call out each other with words like that or the like.

Just my opinion.

Also, I reread my post Duck . I said Captain Obvious- and that appeared to be directed at you, I assure you it was not. I was making a general ‘Captain Obvious’ statement. Thanks for not calling me out on that.
So much love here now

As for Foster...

Welcome back young man. You have great potential, alot to offer, and you will get your chance to show it.
NOW GET IT TOGETHER SOLDIER!!!

(Maybe we should bring in a
consultant??---->>)

What a bitchy little opinion! :smile1:

If you quit on your team in the middle of a game, you need to go into the portal and play elsewhere. Major headcase and is not a "team" player!!

Who knows what happened. I wonder if he was hurt and was in uniform in case he was needed. When it was a blowout and his services were no longer needed, he might have gone to the locker room early. This is far more believable than quitting the team but anything is possible.

But name calling is unnecessary.
