Funny, they only care about the LS Shoot Out, or whatever it's called, when they win it. If not, they don't care about it.
 
Tonight I had a realization that as we head down this final semester of
mutual competition, it really doesn't matter to me who wins.
I felt tonight that sense tonight. This game might as well have been
a December game with 'whomever.' Nothing special about it.

Not unless we're locked into the same conference.
That's the only time anything to do with a&m really has mattered.

The football game back in November mattered. A whole lot.
Then the bb game in Austin on 1/11, but that was about it.
I might like a sweep of a baseball series. Maybe. But tonight showed me that
all relations to that program are dead. Dead and gone. Done, done, done.

And this is what aggie did not understand. That being in the same conference was what
it was all about, was what made the rivalry. What gave anything any relevance.

And no scheduling in the future is going to make up for that.

It barely does now, in a lame-duck set of whatever-games from now to June.

As the days go by it will be less interesting to talk about them. At all.
I might... make this my... last aggie post.

I always suspected, but having read that thread from texags, it's confirmed that there is such a thing as delusion from concentrate, and we now know where the concentrate is stored.
 
It was sweet to hear "saw varsity's Horns off" to dead silence in Reed Arena!! It was like a funeral in there. Great to beat them at their crib.

To use an analogy of the goofy Horn fan who Youtubed the final football game at Pyle Field, "go ahead and cry aggys, you've been Tuckered!" Go ahead and cry aggys, you've been J'Covaned!.

You know they sat there the entire game just waiting until the end when they could chant "SEC SEC SEC" only to have to suffer, yet another defeat, at the hands of Texas.
 
This game ended kind of like the football game --- aggy got up late and was thinking they'd win the last game in BCS over their "friends from the state capitol."

Only to have their hopes dashed in the final few seconds.

I hope all three baseball games are like the football and basketball final games.

Back and forth leads, aggy back up in the 9th, Horns score late to win.

All three games.

Would be a good time to open a counseling practice in Collie Station. Gonna be a lot of prone aggys on couches talking about what coulda/shoulda been.

I believe that t.u. has now beaten The Fightin' Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College aggies and mechies 42 of the last 51 meetings in basketball.
 
The whole Texags board is filled with post about the SEC and what if and who is and look how we arrived.

It's like a bunch of 15 year old girls before the prom talking about what dress they will wear and what boys they will dance with and how magical it will be.

Meanwhile, all the boys are thinking about is whose dress they will try to get into.
 
That post-basketball thread is solid aggy gold. They can deny it all they want, but this season's "farewell tour" will sting for a long time.
Come on Augie and the baseball team, show this bunch the door with a three-game kick in their sad sack pants! Can't wait for the coup de gras, although it will just be "se le vi" for aggy.
 
So what happens if, in aggy's first year in the SEC, the hallowed string of MNCs in that conference comes to an end? Seems there would be fairly reasonable opportunity for such an occurrence, providing just another cruel coincidence for our esteem challenged "neighbors."
 
I thought the Corn's farewell tour year was great, but everything is x 2 with the little Agglets. Going to miss reaching around their shoulders and hitting them and running the opposite direction.

They still think, after all those years, that they were playing Tulane University.

That place is populated with mental midget also-rans that went there only because they couldn't get into the University of Texas at Austin.
