Lil Annie is quite the Roman Catholic conservative with her position on the 19th amendment, a real gem in today's world.

I hate admitting that I know some old ladies (wife's side of the family) who would readily agree with this. They deferred to their husbands until the day the husbands died, and still go by "Mrs. Charles B." on correspondence.

"I would give up my vote in a HEARTBEAT if it meant that right-ordered marriage, family and sexuality was restored to our culture. I would rather that my little female namesakes grow up in a world where they did not have the right to vote, but were treated with dignity and respect, were addressed as “ma’am”, had doors held for them, and wherein men stood up when they entered the room. I would rather they be courted properly and then marry men who would never, ever leave them, and would consider it their sacred duty and honor to protect and provide for their wives and their children because he LOVED them."

Yep... sounds like the ones I know.

That said, she's batshit crazy. Most men who treated women as property in the 19th century weren't doing it because it was the godly thing to do. They were doing it because it was convenient and easier than the alternative. Because men could get what they wanted and everyone was happy.

I'll bite.

While this does come off quite abrasively, there is some truth in some of her statements although I'm not sure if women's suffrage is the cause.

The welfare system has played a huge part in destroying the American home. Prior to 1940, less than 5% of children were born out of wedlock. Currently 41% of children are born out of wedlock. 73 percent of black children are born out of wedlock. 73%!!!

Shame is lost in this country and that's a crying shame. Illegitimate children are more likely to be living in poverty, drop out of school and have emotional problems.

I'm sure someone will say I'm judging others. I admit I am a Christian and I find having children out of wedlock be sinful (I guess I should say the cause of the pregnancy and not the result), but I am not judging. Sometimes wanting what is best for those you care about means telling them what they are doing wrong so that they can stop doing it. That's love, not judgment.

I know it is human nature to respond negatively to criticism, but I try to appreciate when someone tries to help me see my shortcomings.

Just read some of her blog posts and just... wow. I don't think I've ever encountered someone who was so sure that black youths were going to gang rape her one day.

Were'nt we supposed to all be dead by now because of the BP disaster A'sD?

Your posts are just all so wacked out kooky.

If you watch some of her videos, she's a strange chick. Apparently there's a video of her with a copy of the koran in which she uses raw bacon as bookmarks, reads its more controversial passages, and then burns it. I almost wonder if she's serious.

However, there is no question that women's suffrage has had a major impact on public policy and has pulled the country to the Left. We can argue about whether that's good or bad, but there's no question that it has happened.

Also, I have known politically active women much younger than Barnhardt (18 - 24) who agreed with her. Furthermore, I've heard them say they would gladly give up their own right to vote to keep other women (whom they considered politically dumb) from voting.

What specifically that she said do you disagree with? I understand why people would find it offensive, but that doesn't prevent most of it (at least) from being true. Which of these do you disagree with:

* "Women are made with a healthy, innate desire to be provided for and protected." Absolutely politically incorrect, but you see it in action all the time. Can women take care of themselves? Absolutely, but that doesn't change the fact that that's not how most of them are wired.

* "The man would tend to vote for the more conservative platform, and the woman would vote for the more socialist platform." - There are a ton of polls that show this is true.

* "...the unmarried tend to be younger, and thus more stupid, and thus vote for big government." - Again, a ton of polls showing the voting part, and experience substanitates the stupid part.

* "For you men who don’t like my position, you’re just a slave to political correctness. It’s the same thing as the rap music. No one will criticize rap music because it is forbidden by the P.C. culture to criticize a non-white cultural phenomenon. To do so is “bigoted”. It’s the same with this. The P.C. culture has convinced you that if you criticize anything that has to do with women or the feminine culture that you must be a Taliban." - This speaks for itself.

The rap music analogy is bogus. The Taliban one has more merit, given her stance on feminism and suffrage.

HE - you cannot just throw out logical statements and expect the looney to accept them.

So just believe that this was all done by tiny gnats who were so small that they didn't show up on surveillance cameras. They were controlled by giant invisible gnats that hovered around the WTCs to direct all this activity. And the giant gnats were controlled by GWB. Now do you understand?

The credit I want to give A's for never backing down from his asinine beliefs is negated by the fact that I'm actually responding to a thread containing 9/11 truther bull **** - on the anniversary of 9/11.

I picture him as a Mel Gibson weirdo from Conspiracy Theory. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not all out to get you buddy.
