For Real ....Herman “IS” Done!!!

I am so depressed. I will not see Texas relevant in college football, hell, even Big 12 football again in my lifetime.
Me too 65. I'm gonna be 69 next month. We are not only in the 4th quarter, we are late in the 4th quarter. Maybe even the 2:00 minute warning. Who knows?

Many were no doubt calling for “Separate Ways”. Sunshine pumpers were calling for “Don’t Stop Believing.” Tom himself was thinking “Wheel in the Sky Keeps on Turning; Don’t Know Where I’ll be Tomorrow.”

This entire sorry saga could be told by Journey songs...
For me and my Favorite Journey song- Who’s Crying Now.

A Journey-based musical about TH's 2020? Count me in!

Well then, perhaps this would be a more appropriate one from the same era:

or, from the height of the Cold War (this one is appropriate on multiple levels...):

I think this was always going to be the decision in this bizarre year we are experiencing.
And I believe the correct one.
Only a huge splash like Meyer may have changed anything.
Now Herman and his new coordinators hopefully get a full spring and summer to prepare.
No excuses. Put out or get out.
And CDC gets a season to do his due diligence and hopefully bring in the right and lasting coach this time.
Or Herman surprises everyone with a stellar 2021 season.
I would like TH to go, but if the available coaches out there don't move CDC as legit UT capable, then I see the logic of TH for another year. Part of our recent HC issues is that we are jumping from the frying pan into the fire. We have made many coaching hires (HC and assist's) over the last decade based on at least a small dose of desperation. Suffering through TH one more year in order to put this together well is a price I am on board with.

Is that really what you see when you look in the mirror?
No. Not every aggie is a delusional a-hole. Not every sooner is "trailer trash". Not every SEC fan is a hillbilly. But that's what you'd think reading Texas message boards. Need I go on?

If you meet anyone from the east bay that has sense enough to pour piss out of a boot, please hold them hostage and all me. That would be rarer than the winning lotto ticket.

Ever deal with those morons in business? UCLA is only slightly better.

Why did Texas look like a different offense against K State? Was it Yurcich? He could be the answer? I don’t know if that’s true or not. But it could be. I suppose CDC already decided. Good news is Yurcich is back another season. TH needs to give him the reigns of the offense.

It would be much better for all of us if TH quarantines himself for the entire 2021 season.

Sadly this is so true. Prior to Covid I was flying up to Oakland every three weeks. Most of those folks live in a fantasy world and have no grasp of reality.

Hmmm. Auburn fires Malzahn...

Malzahn's buyout following the conclusion of this season was $21.45 million. Half of that total, or $10.275 million, is due within 30 days of termination, per the terms of his contract. The other half of the balance will paid in equal, annual installments of approximately $2.68 million over the next four years.

:idk:

And we’re sitting pat?

His agent is bargaining like hell to get that $10 million paid on January 2, not in December.
OK, SH, spill the beans. (Although if you know, you probably can’t.) But what is CDC doing? There’s no way the money boys will play ball with TH still in the saddle. So perhaps this is not over yet...

If it makes you feel better (misery loves company), I'm in my mid 40's and I am concerned I won't see relevant Texas football again in my lifetime either. The Big 12 sucks, has no direction and no vision and weird games like texas tech vs west Virginia. Or baylor vs Iowa state. I don't understand the game plan here and we have perhaps the most unlikable man in the state as head coach.

HS coaches should call Herman once a day and tell him the jerk store called and they are all out of him.
