Anyone up for another brew tasting session at the Flying Saucer? Folks seemed to enjoy the last one.
This weekend is Father's Day, so I though I would try for Sunday, the 22nd of June at 2:30 p.m (which could be changed if inconvenient for those interested).
Will pm likely suspects on Monday to gauge interest.

Bummer....I'll be here.

OK, OK, I take it back! You don't suck!

I am just jealous of all the good beer you're going to be drinking in that mountainous region.

I'll bring back a truck load.
There's a wonderful HUGE liquor store in Pueblo that we hit on the way back.

We will try somehow to enjoy the trip to the Flying Saucer without Mrmyke, difficult though it may be-hope to see several of you Sunday at 2:30, pints/darts-come on out!

Well, I see who the popular one here is. Or is it just that he's bribing y'all w/ beer! Hope y'all had a good time and hope I can make the next one.

BTW, I was drinking my BILILs homebrew Kolsh and dubbel. He is the former brewmeister for St Arnolds and developed their Lawnmower so I wasn't suffering for lack of good beer.

Attendance was less than the last Saucer trip, but we enjoyed it-on Sundays (every Sunday, I think), any pint of draft beer from a Texas brewer is $2.75, so we tried a couple of Rio Blanco, St. Arnolds, Shiner, and Independence brews.

On a slighty unrelated note, I was at the Saucer the other day when some douche bag starts making smart *** comments because I ordered a Warsteiner Dunkel. I heard him say to his buddy, "Ordering fancy ****, just give me a beer, its just beer man." And they both proceeded to giggle like school girls.

Dumbasses!!!

I think you should NEVER drink Warsteiner Dunkel. It's a vile brew fit for no one.

Except me!

Sorry I couldn't make it, guys, but I had way too much to do at home, plus with gas prices the way they are ...

Seriously, why would someone at The Flying Saucer say that? The whole point of that bar is its varied and large beer selection.

I could see someone saying that at... ummm... Lala's or Buddy's Place maybe? But of course, Lala's and Budd's Place don't even serve "fancy beer."

Exactly, if you are at a bar with five beer selections, and someone thinks you effette because of a Shiner Boch order, I could understand it, but at a place with 200 beers from 15 countries as the drawing card of the establishment? The waitresses wear beer goddess shirts-what do they expect?
A trap door should open up and drop them into the alligator pit below.

Yeah, why would yo wanna drink those fancy IPAs or barleywines? Any of y'all ever tried slamming one a those? Give me a smooth bud lite anyday so I can drink more faster...
