flu shot and shingles

2 years in roll i have gotten a flu shot and a month later shingles. I did not have rash this time but the pain sucked just as bad..Im 40 yrs old and im thinking this maybe just a coincidence but just dont know

Not shingles, but neuropathy occurs rarely (also arthralgia and myalgia). The fact that it occurred 1 month later, though leads me to believe that it is not related. Call Novartis vaccines and ask them. Also you should report the info. to your physician.
