Flowers in Houston

I know Houston has a big flower district but I've never been or needed to buy flowers. But now that (stupid) Valentines day is coming, I guess I will be getting some.

Where is the best (read: cheapest) place to get a nice bouquet of flowers here in H-town?

Kroger actually has a ton (the one on Buffalo Speedway and Westpark). Whole Foods has some special going on for roses that I heard on the radio.

I am pretty sure there are a couple of flower shops right on Fanin, just south of 59. Whole Foods does have pretty good flowers and I would personally try Empty Vase. However, EV is a more expensive and it looks like you want to give cheap flowers on Valentines Day?? Good luck with that.....
