Flights out of Austin

I'm an idiot and haven't bought a flight yet. I have tickets and hotel squared away. I looked at flights today and they are around $750 out of Austin. Are flights being added?...Let me rephrase- are reasonably priced flights being added?

Try it out of San Antonio. Many people have done this.

I also saw that Jet Blue has added extra flights from Austin, just for the game.

Try different airports in the LA area - Burbank, Long Beach, Orange County, Ontario, I even did San Diego for the Michigan RB.

Maybe you might consider flying into Vegas and drive to Pasadena. That's what I did in 2006 & i'm doing the same this time around. Flight into Vegas is ~ $350 right now.

you can also book to SFO or Oakland and hop on a cheap flight to LAX/Burbank. I booked my R/T flight for $115 last night on Virgin America from SFO-LAX. Hey, it's an option....

There are still some flights on SW out of San Antonio for lesss than $800 R/T depending on the days you want to travel.

The first Rose Bowl, I flew into San Diego. The second, I flew into Ontario.

I actually found San Diego to be pretty simple. You can get into and out of the airport easily, and make the drive up I-5 at 80+ mph. I got a great price, and I would do it again.

Drive to Dallas, our tickets are $270 round trip to LA.

I'd drive to Dallas and take US Air to LAX. Very cheap fares, and still plenty of seats left...
