I noticed a few days ago my trucks front right tire was riding low but i couldn't find my gauge til tonight. The reading said 10 lbs of pressure..... basically flat as hell but i think i can drive on it for a mile or so. I really dont feel like puttin the damn spare on just to drive it a mile since it is a leak. Is there any way to get my hands on a compressor for 5 minutes to put a few lbs in it so i can drive it a few miles? Im thinkin bout just flaggin a tow truck down and throwin 10$ at him to fill my tire up. Any other ideas?

go to the nearest store/auto parts/mini mart/gas station, and pay 3 bucks for a can of fix a flat.

the fix a flat would just fix the leak <assuming there is one.> I still would have to risk driving on such a low tire. correct? or is 10-15 lbs enough to drive on for a few miles?

Drive it to the corner gas station. 10psi is low, but as long as you're going slow, a mile or so shouldn't make it worse. My room-mate's car had a slow leak and he was driving around on 15psi for months. Moron.

Yes you cn drive it that low.

Yes fix a flat needs to be removed from the rim after it goes in. SOmething I did not know until a few months ago by the way.

If it's a nail you can go to the auto parts place and buy a repair kit for about 4 bucks. Bring some needle nose pliers to remove the nail, then use the plug (assuming radial) and reinflate. I would drive to a store with one of those 50 cent air compressors and do it there.

I also suggest everyone have a small cigarette lighter driven pump for just these sorts of situations. They usually cost about 15-20 bucks but will pay for themsevles many time over in remote locations on the open road when you ahve tire troubles.

Yeah drive it to the corner store ^^^^^. Do not put fix a flat in it.

Then go get it fixed at discount tire. They fix flats for free no matter where you bought your tires.

Ah, fort stockton, good 'ol hometown
