Flat tire question

The curb took out my front right tire. Unluckily the spare was flat too, so I just rode the spare's rim about 2 miles back home. No faster than 15 mph on the trip. Is the rim ruined or can it handle that? Would it do any damage to the rest of the car?

If you inflate the spare and it holds air you should be fine. If not, have the tire taken off the rim and see if the rim is bent. If it is bent but not too badly you may be able to beat it back into shape with a hammer.

Also, to prevent this from happening again think about investing in one of those little air compressors that plug into the cigarette lighter and keep it in your trunk. Wal-mart has them for ~$20.
