Flat Stanley's trip to Austin

Well, my procrastination has come around to bite me in the ***. My niece, Kelsey, sent me Flat Stanley a month ago to take him on an adventure around Austin, take pictures (ala the roaming gnome), and put together a presentation to teach Kelsey's classmates all about Austin. My SIL said that there wasn't a deadline, so take my time. Well, she just sent me an email saying that they need me to send him back with his pictures and stories this coming weekend. So, now I'm in the position of driving all over town on Friday to take pictures with this thing.

I really want to present a well-rounded adventure in Austin. These are the places on my list to hit:

UT campus (of course)
state capitol building
Treaty Oak
Town Lake Hike and Bike
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Congress Ave. bridge (preferably when the bats are flying)

Anyplace else I'm missing that would be interesting to a bunch of 2nd graders?

Barton Springs
Mt. Bonnell
Zilker Botanical Garden
Austin skyline from overlook on 360
Pennybacker Bridge (on 360)

Amy's Ice Cream (on top of one of the cows).

There's a Children's Museum downtown that might have some stuff 2nd graders would like.

Spiro's
Paradox
Exodus

Seriously, though, when you go to the Capitol, get the tour guide sitting in the Senate to put Flat Stanley in one of the Senator's chairs; your niece might get a kick out of that. Also, I don't know if it qualifies as interesting to 2nd graders, but the Umlauf Sculpture Garden is beautiful and would make a nice setting for a picture. In front of the Governor's Mansion wouldn't be a bad place for a picture either. A moon-tower might be nice backdrop, but maybe a 2nd grader wouldn't find anything about them particularly exciting.
