Fishing after a hurricane

I'm scheduled to go fishing on Baffin Bay on the 23rd. Looks like Emily will turn into a hurricane and hit the US Wednesday or Thursday of that week. So... if it hits the Texas coast, will the fish be biting a day or two later?

Don't worry about it untill you get out there but generally speaking, the fishing will be effected if a good storm churns up the area quite a bit. You just have to change your tatics a little.

I wonder if it will move the private pier I'm going to be visiting.

It's a little early to be predicting a hurricane or Texas landfall. Since my little sister is named Emily and she has made a lifetime out of ******* with me and my vacation is planned for Port A the week of the 23rd, it's a pretty good bet where the storm is going to land.

BTW, the fishing is usually ****** up after a storm. OTOH, I caught about 8 keeper reds in 30 minutes at Dagger the day before the last hurricane hit Rockport. I didn't keep all of them.

If the hurricane hits, the water will be a mess. Of course, it might be a mess anyway. My brother(BoogityBoy) and I did harvest a 25 incher and two 17 inchers this morning before work. I'm looking forward to dinner tonight.
