First half thoughts

Texas up 37-28 at the half. Came out strong but early foul trouble caused us to go deep into the bench for most of the second part of the half.

AJ is ridiculously hot today.
Damien is missing shots he can make.
Connor got into foul trouble
Dex had some good minutes...good rebounding...but also got in foul trouble.
Mason got into foul trouble.

Dogus had a great block...he can really jump...looks hesistant to try and score either through his shot or driving.
Johnson is having a good game.
Chapman is really not doing much...Rick must see a lot from him in practice because I still don't see much and would rather have Wangmene out there.
Speaking of...Wangmene came on and had some good rebounds, a tip-in and a basket off a rebound.
Ward is rushing things and not playing very well....he did make a FT though!

Need someone other than AJ to score, or I guess I should say in addition to AJ. Damion shot will fall eventually.

I was pleased with the improved FT shooting. Defensive intensity was good but it could be one of those days on offense.

I watched part of the first half and was sickened by what I saw on "offense" -- guards picking up the dribble 25+ feet from the basket without any clear idea of an entry pass, nobody setting screens for the ball handler, and times in which it seemed everyone was just standing still.

Atchley was already on the bench with fouls.

There is a connection.

Ugly, ugly win.

This team is going to be very good once we settle into a rotation and define our offensive roles.

It's good to see Ward getting some meaningful minutes because we may need him later on down the line. It's not surprising to see him rush things, and on the positive side he's very athletic.

I've watched the last 2 games and my main concern from what I've seen is Johnson. He looks about like the player he was last year and will probably have trouble on offense against bigger, more talented players than what he's up against now.

I didn't see anything last year from Johnson like that one play he took the ball at the top of the key and drove past two guys for the layup.

Yeah, it does worry me a bit that our offensive spacing and ball movement seem to take a noticeable decline when our starting center goes to the bench.
