First date spot in Dallas

[Next Monday]

I will preface this by saying I do not know much about the girl other than she went to smu and I'm pretty sure she likes to drink.

I don't need to impress her with a fancy restaurant but am willing to do so. I'm looking for a good atmosphere with good food and drinks.

I recently moved here and I am familiar with most of the steak places such as Bob's, Nick and Sam's etc....

Suggestions?

If you like Asian food, do Kenichi in Victory Park... italian?... Nove again in Victory Park... then you can do drinks at the first floor bar at the W Hotel or go upstairs to Ghostbar.

Shinsei at Lover's and Inwood is great for asian.

Sangria's on Travis (or maybe Cole) is very popular with the post-SMU crowd right now. Girls love the white sangria there and the tapas are good.

Hector's On Henderson..Enough Said. Worked for me on the first date. Highly rec. the food, wine, and atmosphere. And the girls love it...You can thank me later...

Upper Greenville is full of great Mexican, Steak, Sports, Italian, etc... If she went to SMU, she will know which ones she likes. They are a lot of fun, and you can go from one to the other for cocktails, or to change environments, without driving anywhere.

Without knowing much else, like a couple other posters, I would suggest Henderson area. Maybe the Porch or Hibiscus for dinner and then drinks at the Loon or Capitol...
